Mireye API + MCP: US land and location data for agents

One API and a hosted MCP server for US places: free Fetch of cited public fields at any coordinate, plus paid parcel Enrich ($0.02), parcel Search ($0.20 a page) and cited answers. Account and key required; $10 one-time free balance.

Verified factsChecked 2026-10-22

PriceFetch, batch Fetch, Geocode and field requests are free on every plan. New accounts get a one-time $10 balance with no expiry and no card. Free-plan rates: Enrich $0.02 per enriched parcel, Search $0.20 per page, driving distance $0.02 per calculation, Ask $0.10 per answer. Build is $49/month and Growth $199/month, each including the same amount of usage at lower Enrich, Search and driving rates. Our keyless GET /v1/meta/plans on 2026-10-22 returned these figures.3 [Verified 2026-10-22]
API key / authAn account is required even for free Fetch. Direct HTTP calls send X-API-Key with a key created in the dashboard after signing in and accepting the terms (new keys start with mry_). The hosted MCP uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. On 2026-10-22 our keyless POST /v1/fetch returned HTTP 401 auth_missing, and the MCP endpoint returned 401 with an OAuth resource-metadata challenge.2 [Verified 2026-10-22]
Rate limit20 requests a minute on Free, 60 on Build and 300 on Growth (rate_limit_rpm in /v1/meta/plans). Limits apply to free operations too, and adding funds does not raise them; over the limit you get HTTP 429 with Retry-After. Batch Fetch takes up to 25 locations per request.3 [Verified 2026-10-22]
TermsMireye Earth Customer Terms (version 2026-10-20-v1): outputs may be used for your own property research and business work, including through AI agents. Licensed parcel data (ownership, boundaries, assessor records) may not be resold, published, exposed through your own customer-facing app or API, aggregated into a substitute dataset or used to train AI models without Mireye’s written authorization. Public fields stay under their own source terms.4 [Verified 2026-10-22]

CoverageUnited States; drive-time calculations also cover Canada. The free Fetch catalog listed 351 fields in 15 presets on 2026-10-22 (keyless GET /v1/meta/fields); the MCP docs say Enrich can return 525 fields. Not verified: the 160M+ parcel count and “550 data fields” in the founder’s launch post, which we did not find in Mireye’s docs.5 [Verified 2026-10-22]
StatusNo beta or GA label in the docs or pricing, and no published SLA. The product is changing quickly: the local MCP adapter, Lookup and Resolve endpoints are retired and now return migration errors.1 [Verified 2026-10-22]

What it does

Mireye Earth is a location-data service built for agents. Fetch (POST /v1/fetch) returns named public fields or a preset for a US coordinate or street address, and every value comes back with its source, fetch time and confidence; Fetch, batch Fetch (up to 25 locations a call) and Geocode are free on every plan. The paid side covers parcels: Enrich matches one address or coordinate to a parcel and returns ownership, assessor, zoning and context fields for one price per parcel, Search filters parcels within a state and returns the fields you ask for, and Ask writes a cited answer about a place. The same operations are exposed as nine tools on a hosted MCP server at api.mireye.com/mcp, which uses OAuth, so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other remote-MCP clients connect without a local install. Typical jobs are site screening (terrain, flood zone, grid distance), property diligence and parcel shortlists.

Working exampleNot run: needs a Mireye API key or OAuth sign-in (we did not create an account)

Documented request, not run by us: needs a Mireye API key or OAuth sign-in (we did not create an account). The response below is what we did run on 2026-10-22.

# Run without a key on 2026-10-22: the public pricing contract
curl -sS https://api.mireye.com/v1/meta/plans

# Not run: free Fetch needs a key from a Mireye account
curl -sS -X POST https://api.mireye.com/v1/fetch \
  -H "X-API-Key: $MIREYE_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"lat":39.0438,"lng":-77.4874,"fields":["elevation","slope_degrees","within_floodplain_polygon"]}'

Agent setup

Prompt to give your agent

You have the Mireye MCP server. For the site at <lat>, <lng>, call mireye_fetch with the terrain and flood_risk presets (free) and report elevation, slope and floodplain status with the source of each value. Only call mireye_enrich or mireye_search if I approve the cost first, and set max_cost_usd on every paid call. Treat results as screening data, not a survey, title or engineering finding.

Agent / MCP-style tool snippet

// Claude Code (then run /mcp and finish browser sign-in):
// claude mcp add --transport http --scope user mireye-earth https://api.mireye.com/mcp
// Cursor .cursor/mcp.json (remote server with OAuth)
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "mireye-earth": { "url": "https://api.mireye.com/mcp" }
  }
}
// Direct HTTP: send X-API-Key: mry_... (never put the key in a URL)

Fit and safety

Good for

  • Screening a site for slope, flood zone and distance to the grid before a visit
  • Shortlisting parcels in one state by size and other filters, then enriching the finalists
  • Attaching a cited source to every property fact an agent reports

Watch out

  • Do not use it for places outside the United States. The catalog is US-only; only drive-time analysis extends to Canada.
  • Do not let an agent run Search or Enrich unattended without a spending cap. Each Search page costs $0.20 on Free even with zero matches; set max_cost_usd.
  • Do not republish parcel ownership or boundary data from it, or feed it into model training. The terms forbid both without written authorization.
  • Do not treat the output as a survey, title search, appraisal or engineering finding. The terms say parcel boundaries and estimates need independent checks.
  • Do not plan bulk jobs on the Free plan. It allows 20 requests a minute, free calls included.

FAQ

Is the Mireye API free?

Partly. Fetch of public location fields, batch Fetch and Geocode are free on every plan, but you need an account and key. Enrich ($0.02 per parcel), Search ($0.20 per page) and Ask ($0.10 per answer) draw on a balance; new accounts get $10 once, with no expiry and no card.

What is the Mireye MCP server URL?

https://api.mireye.com/mcp, over Streamable HTTP with OAuth. In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user mireye-earth https://api.mireye.com/mcp, then run /mcp to sign in.

What is Mireye’s rate limit?

20 requests a minute on Free, 60 on Build ($49/month) and 300 on Growth ($199/month), including free calls. Over the limit the API returns 429 with Retry-After.
