What it does
FinancialFilings (also sold as FinancialReports) indexes regulatory filings from 109 regulator sources: annual, quarterly, interim and ad-hoc reports. Its hosted MCP server at mcp.financialfilings.com/mcp lets an agent search companies by name, ticker, ISIN or LEI, find filings by company, type, market or date, fetch a filing as Markdown, and query extracted financial data. Clients sign in with OAuth using a free account; the company says the filing, company and financial tools work on a free account, while webhook tools are Enterprise-only. It is useful where SEC EDGAR stops: European, Japanese and other non-U.S. issuers.
Working exampleNot run: needs a free FinancialFilings account (OAuth sign-in; we did not sign up)
Documented request, not run by us: needs a free FinancialFilings account (OAuth sign-in; we did not sign up). The response below is what we did run on 2026-10-18.
# Not run: needs an OAuth token from a free FinancialFilings account
curl -sS -X POST https://mcp.financialfilings.com/mcp \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $FF_OAUTH_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Accept: application/json, text/event-stream" \
-d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/list"}'Response (trimmed)
Not run with a token. What we did run on 2026-10-18 (same call, no token):
HTTP 401
www-authenticate: Bearer error="invalid_token", ...,
resource_metadata="https://mcp.financialfilings.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp"
{"error": "invalid_token", "error_description": "Authentication failed. ..."}Agent setup
Prompt to give your agent
You have the FinancialFilings MCP. Find the latest annual report for <company> (search by ISIN if I give one), fetch it as Markdown, and quote the figures I ask for with the filing date, report type and section. Don't paste large chunks of the raw filing, and don't give investment advice.
Agent / MCP-style tool snippet

// claude mcp add --transport http financialreports https://mcp.financialfilings.com/mcp

}Fit and safety
Good for
- Reading a European or Japanese company’s annual report inside Claude or ChatGPT
- Finding a company’s filings by ISIN or LEI
- Pulling one section of an interim report into a research note
Watch out
- Do not use it to build a dataset for model training. The terms forbid training, fine-tuning or distilling on the data.
- Do not republish raw filings or data from it. Redistribution and public display need written consent or an Enterprise deal.
- Do not reach for it for U.S. filers when the free, keyless SEC EDGAR API covers them.
- Do not plan heavy automation without checking limits. MCP limits are unpublished and the free REST tier allows 5 requests a minute.

| OpenFIGI API | Free identifier mapping to match tickers and ISINs across markets. |
| Exa hosted MCP | Keyless web search to find an issuer’s own investor-relations page. |
